Flower Types

Flowers, much like people, come in all different shapes and sizes. And like people, each one is unique and wonderful in its own way!

Here is a compilation of frequently used flowers to help you choose your special blooms.

The pictures on this page are of real flowers, for purposes of comparison. We hope this helps you in choosing your own floral arrangements.

Roses- The most popular wedding flower of all time.

Shown here are standard roses (left), tea roses (center), and spray roses (right).

Comes in nearly every color you can imagine. Silk quality can vary from inexpensive to the most elaborate and lifelike.

Orchids- Tropical Beauty

Orchids are frequently used as "tails" (the cascading part) of cascade bouquets because of their long lines. They can also be used to add height to a centerpiece. Much less expensive in silk than in fresh.

Lilies- Our little darlings. 

You'll see a lot of lilies used in our floral arrangements. What can we say? We like 'em. They are a beautiful focal or main flower to use in any piece. They add an interesting shape to the bouquet and they come in nearly every color under the sun. These flowers are really the most "bang for your buck".

Daisies- Nothing says happy like a  daisy.   Add a touch of garden wildflower freshness to your wedding with daisies. A great secondary flower.  Shown here: Gerbera daisies (left), the common daisy (right), and wild daisies (below).

Mums- Mums the word! Mums are regaining popularity in floral arrangements. Especially the unique species like spider mums and button mums. Comes in a variety of colors. Shown here: Spider mums (left), button mums (right), and Chrysanthemums (below).

Freesia- Small flowers with big impact. These flowers are a perfect line flower to add a dash of length and a smidgen of romance to your bouquet. Shown in white and various colors.
